This example is fictional and written for illustration. Replace every name, company, date and number with your own facts.

  • Lead each bullet with a decision you owned, such as a prioritisation call or scope cut, then state the measurable result it produced.
  • Name the metric and its direction, for example booking completion rate up 9%, rather than saying you improved engagement.
  • Show discovery work by stating how many interviews or tickets you analysed and what changed in the product because of them.
  • Describe cross-functional alignment through concrete artefacts like roadmaps, PRDs or launch briefings, not through the word collaborated.
  • Mention the tools you used for analytics and backlog work inside bullets, so keyword scanners and hiring managers both see them in context.
Should a product manager resume include a portfolio link?

It can help if you have shareable work, such as a case study or a public product teardown. Avoid confidential material, and keep the resume itself complete without requiring anyone to click.

How do I show impact if I do not own revenue numbers?

Use metrics you influenced, such as adoption, conversion, time to complete a task or support ticket volume. Give a modest, honest figure and say what you changed to affect it.

How long should a product manager resume be?

One page is usually enough for up to about eight years of experience. Prioritise recent roles with outcomes, and trim older duties to a single line or leave them out.
