This example is fictional and written for illustration. Replace every name, company, date and number with your own facts.

  • Name the procedures you perform regularly, such as molar endodontics or scaling and root planing, rather than writing a vague 'full range of dentistry'.
  • State your list size, session pattern or weekly patient volume so a practice owner can judge your capacity at a glance.
  • Separate NHS and private work if you do both, and mention UDA or fee-per-item experience where relevant.
  • Include your GDC registration and current CPR/BLS and safeguarding training dates so credentials are easy to verify.
  • Link clinical work to a result, such as fewer retakes, better recall attendance or fewer complaints, instead of listing duties alone.
Should a dentist's resume include GDC registration?

Yes. Give your GDC registration status and number if the employer asks for it. Recruiters check this first, so place it near the top or in a credentials line.

How long should a dentist resume be?

One to two pages is usual. Early-career dentists can fit everything on one page, while those with specialist training or many roles may need a second page.

Do I need to list every procedure I can perform?

No. List the procedures you do most often and any with additional training, such as implants or sedation. A focused list reads more credibly than an exhaustive one.
